Heather's Background
I have many fond memories of my growing-up years here in Westminster, Maryland.
In my spare time I loved playing anything from "House" to baseball, and doing anything from riding bikes to
sitting on a tree root above our creek, listening to the water gurgle beneath me. As an only child and an
animal lover, I enjoyed making friends with the barn cats that hung around our house for a handout.
Memories of my family make up a lot of my story as well. Some of the fondest are of taking Sabbath
afternoon walks out in nature, of playing "Tickle" with Dad every Sunday morning and reading stories
with him by the kerosine stove, and of working with Mom in the garden or just goofing off with her while
helping her in the kitchen. I enjoyed everything there was to enjoy in life: family, friends, school,
Pathfinders, church. . . and it was at church that I met Steve.
